About EEIP

Enlightened Education Initiatives Pakistan (EEIP) is grassroots, community-driven non-profit organization working to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity through education among Pakistan’s most vulnerable populations especially displaced and marginalized Christian communities living in rural and urban slum areas of Islamabad and its surroundings.

Founded in response to the quality and free educational requirement, EEIP envisions a future where every child, regardless of background or status, has access to quality education and a path to a better life.

Our Story: The Birth of Enlightened Education Initiatives Pakistan (EEIP)

The story of Enlightened Education Initiatives Pakistan (EEIP) begins with a simple but powerful act of compassion. In 2018, Mr. Maqsood Gill and Mrs. Maqsood Gill driven by a deep sense of faith and social responsibility began teaching children from marginalized Christian families in their community during the evenings, at their home completely free of cost. These children, many of whom had limited or no access to quality education, began showing remarkable improvement in their academic performance.

As the children began to excel in their classes, their parents took notice. They visited the Gill family to express their gratitude, not only for the academic support but also for the moral and spiritual nurturing their children received. The children were learning biblical stories and prayers, instilling a sense of identity, faith, and hope in their young hearts.

This became a turning point. Encouraged by the parents’ appreciation and their insistence on a more permanent educational solution, the Gills were inspired to establish a formal school. On January 8th, 2020, Jesus and Mary (J&M) School was officially launched offering structured education to children who would otherwise be left behind.

Over the next four years, the school flourished. With more than 200 students enrolled, consistent academic results, and growing trust within the community, the demand for support grew. Parents increasingly approached the Gill family, asking for continued help with school fees and learning resources for their children.

In response to this growing need and to make the mission sustainable the Gills took the bold step of formally registering a non-profit organization: Enlightened Education Initiatives Pakistan (EEIP). The goal was simple but powerful: to expand their reach, attract supporters and sponsors, and provide consistent, quality education to vulnerable children across displaced and underserved communities.

What began as a humble evening tutoring effort has now evolved into a life changing initiative. one that stands as a beacon of hope for hundreds of children in rural-slum areas of Islamabad.
